On December 2nd, together with Justyna Pawlak-Mihulka (substantive supervisor and originator of the studies), I conducted workshops on "Building a Lean and Agile culture in an organization" as part of postgraduate studies IT business management at AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow.
The invitation to be a lecturer at AGH is a great honor for me, a reason to be proud, and a source of immense joy for the opportunity to share, discuss and inspire with my experience. Moreover, Krakow is a city to which I have great sentiment and beautiful memories associated with it.
Krakow did not disappoint this time and welcomed me with a thick blanket of snow! It snowed all night before classes, and also in the morning when I went to the university. The way to the Faculty of Humanities at AGH was like something out of a fairy tale about the Snow Queen - see for yourself:
Coming back to the classes, in the lecture agenda, we planned to discuss the following points:
- Lean and Agile concept,
- Lean and Agile in the context of organizational culture,
- Ways to build culture and define values,
- Employee life cycle (Employee Experience),
- Presentation of a Case Study on building an Agile culture in one of the organizations,
- Defining values with Management 3.0 tools – Value Stories.
Our students had the opportunity not only to listen but also to share their experience and practice, as can be seen in the photos:
Students then worked in four groups to design the vision, metrics, and initial actions for their chosen step in the employee life cycle (Employee Experience):
Below, you can read about some very interesting concepts for building culture at various stages of the employee life cycle:
